Welcome to Growth Engine connecting people with the support they need, especially when life gets tough.
Types of Claims
Injury or Illness Claim (TPD)
Total and Permanent Disability insurance (TPD) don’t let the name scare you! Sounds dramatic, right? But really, TPD is just a safety net. It’s there to support you financially if a serious injury or illness forces you to stop working. A successful claim can help cover medical bills, ongoing care and lost income so you can focus on recovery instead of red tape. The good news? You don’t have to deal with the paperwork alone and evidence gathering alone.
Life Insurance (Death Cover)
Death insurance it’s the one policy you hope never pays out… but also kind of has to. Think of it as the ultimate love letter to your family except instead of flowers, it’s a lump sum of cash when you kick the bucket. You won't be around to enjoy it, sure, but at least you can rest in peace knowing your loved ones won’t be crowdfunding your funeral or inheriting your Afterpay debt.
Income Protection
Income Protection Insurance for when your body pulls a sickie.. and forgets to come back. If you’re too unwell or injured to work, this cover helps pay the bills and keep the lights on (because let’s face it, darkness and debt is not a vibe).
The right professionals wrangle the paperwork like it’s a chaotic family gathering, too many voices, not enough sausages and chase the insurers like a magpie in spring. So you can focus on recovery.
Early Release of Super
Early Release of Super because sometimes life says, “Surprise! Adulting just got harder.” Whether it’s a medical emergency, mortgage panic or just trying to survive the weekly grocery bill, we’re here for it. There are professionals to take the paperwork nightmare off your plate and make the process as smooth as your last pay cheque (RIP). You focus on keeping it together while the professionals focus on getting you paid.
Trauma Insurance
Trauma Insurance aka Critical Illness Cover. If you’re hit with something serious like cancer, a heart attack or a stroke, this insurance pays you a lump sum like a financial hug during a medical meltdown.
There are experts to do the boring paperwork, chase the insurers and get your money fast. So you can focus on getting better and they can focus on the claim and skip the headache well, the insurance kind, not the actual one you’ve already got.
Terminal Illness Insurance
Yep, the name’s a bit of a buzzkill. But stick with us it’s not all doom and gloom. If doctors give you the kind of news that comes with awkward silences and long stares, this cover steps in with a lump sum payment. It’s money to help you tick off your bucket list, get things in order or just stop worrying about bills while dealing with the big stuff. Not fun to talk about but way better to have than not.

According to ASIC only 26,000 claims were lodged in 2018 out of 13.4 million people covered.
That’s barely 0.2%.
Which means thousands either didn’t know, didn’t try or got lost somewhere between form 3B and “it's too hard basket."
Check if you’re eligible. It's Free.
Claim denied?
It happens more than you think often over small errors, wrong wording, missing medical evidence or missing documents. A denied claim can lead to court.

More Supers Than Streaming Subscriptions? You’re Not Alone.
Do You Have More Than One Super Fund? About 1 in 5 Aussies (that’s around 4 million!) have multiple super accounts likely hiding somewhere between your old tradie job and that brief personal training phase.
If you you are a member of multiple super funds when your illness or injury happened and those funds had TPD insurance policies, then you might be able to lodge a separate claim with each one. TPD insurance is tied to each specific fund’s policy like different socks in the same drawer. Some fit, some don’t and some are just mysteriously gone.
The Golden Rule: You don’t have to pick just one. If you have valid policies, you can go full buffet and lodge multiple claims as long as you meet the criteria for each. But managing that can get trickier than a three way breakup.
Need help? There are professionals to decode insurance jargon, help you chase paperwork and nag super funds so you don’t have to.
Fighting For Fair
According to ASIC a lot of people give up or withdraw their claim because of the way the claims process treats them, not because they aren’t genuinely disabled. People give up because the process is stressful, embarrassing, intrusive, involves long delays, repeated and complex paperwork, costly medical reports and specialist visits, financial strain, and even feeling accused of fraud or “checked up on” by the insurer.
AFSA and ASIC
AFSA Australian Financial Service Association are there if you are not happy with a service because complaining to your mates won’t fix it but complaining to AFCA might!
ASIC is basically Australia’s financial watchdog the people whose job is to keep banks, finance companies, insurers and super funds in line while the rest of the world is doom scrolling.
Online Overshare, Claim Beware
Warning: Your social media might be stronger than your back.
Insurers are watching social media. Be mindful of what you (or your friends) post online. Insurers often review social media and may use posts as evidence to question the validity of a claim.
It’s not about hiding the truth, just protecting your story from being twisted to fit the insurer’s version of events.
Medical Evidence
At the heart of any claim is medical evidence and no, your mum’s note doesn’t count. Most super funds want two legit doctors (yes, with real degrees) to sign off. Think detailed reports, scans, records… basically everything short of a Netflix docuseries on your health.
Am I Eligible for TPD
If you’ve found yourself Googling 'Am I eligible for a payout?' at 2am battling a debilitating pain that just won't go away and simultaneously regretting not marrying for money, you’re probably in the right place.
Most Common Claims
The most common TPD claims come from mental health and chronic illnesses that prevent people from working. Back injuries, heart disease and mental health conditions are among the top reasons for claims. No matter the condition, we help you navigate the process to get the payout you deserve.
